What Teach Your Dino Bible Stories sends, and what it never does
Early Access playtest. Last changed 2026-10-20.
If you agreed to send playtest data, the game sends counts of how it is played. Each count is one of these:
- The game was opened: on a touch screen or with a mouse, and whether the screen is small, middle-sized or large.
- Time played, in steps of thirty seconds while the game is on screen.
- Something happened in the game: a story's doorway found; a story, one of its parts or one of its games started, finished or left, and how long it took; the dino hatched or grew; a ride or a glide; an animal petted, and what kind; a question answered wrongly, or help given; the picture made simpler for a slow device. Each is told by the game's own short name for it.
- An error: what kind it was (the page failed, something did not load, the picture was lost), the name of the game's file and the line it came from, and the error's own message, cut short, with any web address cut to its last part.
With each count we keep:
- the hour and the day, never the minute;
- the version of the game;
- a random mark for the device, made new every day, so that a day's players can be counted but nobody can be followed from one day to the next;
- a random mark for one visit;
- how long ago this device first played, as one of five steps: today, yesterday, this week, this month, or longer. The date itself is never sent.
If you chose Play without sending, none of this is sent, not even errors.
We never collect
A name, an email, a location, a voice or recording (the microphone is not used), anything typed in the game other than a note you write in a report, photos or contacts. There are no ads, no advertising trackers, and no other company's tracking code.
If you report a problem
Nothing goes until you press Send. You see what goes before you send it, and you can strike any part out. It is the note you write, a picture of the game's screen, and where the player was in the game and which way they were looking: a spot in the game's own world, never a real place. It does not include your name, your device, or any way to write back to you, so please leave your name and contact details out of the note. A report can be sent whether or not you agreed to send counts.
If you send feedback
Nothing goes until you press Send. It is the face and the things you tapped, any words you wrote, and, only if its box is ticked, a picture of the game's screen and where the player was in the game. It does not include your name, your device, or any way to write back to you. Feedback is kept for ninety days. The game never asks for a file, a photo or the camera.
On your device only
Your child's progress, the dino's growth, the settings, your answer to the notice, the device's random mark for today, and the day it first played. These never leave the device.
The address your device connects from
Every website is reached by one. Our server does not keep it. For one minute at a time it counts how often an address has sent, so that nobody can flood the game, and then forgets it. Cloudflare, the company whose servers carry the game, sees it as it sees every visit to a site it carries.
How long we keep things
Counts for about thirteen months, then they are deleted. Problem reports for ninety days.
Who sees it
Only the people making the game, as totals and charts. It is kept on Cloudflare's servers, where the game runs, and it is never sold or shared.
To stop
Open the grown-ups' screen (the pause button) and choose Stop sending. The device forgets its mark, and nothing more is sent. Counts already sent cannot be traced back to your device, so there is nothing of yours to find and delete.
